Reason for closure:

A landslide on 23 August 2024 resulted in 13 fatalities and multiple injuries — prompting authorities to restrict access for safety reasons.
Part of the site was found to encroach on protected forest land; the area is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.

Next, you'll visit Wat Chalong, Phuket’s largest temple where locals and tourists alike go to pay their respects to late, revered monks, including Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang. Admire the beautiful artworks adorning the temple walls, and the peaceful grounds surrounding the site.
