Chiang Rai Full-Day Cultural Tour (from Chiang Mai) 

Tour Duration

• Full Day: ~12–13 hours (because Chiang Rai is ~3 hours’ drive each way).
• Pickup: 07:00–07:30 AM from Chiang Mai Old City / Hotel.
• Return: ~19:30–20:00 PM back to Chiang Mai.

Tour Itinerary & Highlights
1. Morning Departure (07:00–07:30)

• Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
• Scenic drive (~3 hrs) through Chiang Mai → Chiang Rai with mountain views.
• Short stop at Hot Springs (Mae Khachan) for stretching legs, snacks, coffee. 

2. White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) – The Icon of Chiang Rai

• Designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat.
• Unique all-white architecture with mirrored mosaics.
• Symbolizes purity and Buddhist teachings with surreal artwork.
• Time for photos and exploring inside/outside. 

3. Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten)

• A modern, bright-blue temple decorated with gold details.
• Known for its Blue Buddha statue and artistic paintings.
• Vibrant, colorful, and less crowded compared to White Temple. 

4. Black House (Baan Dam Museum)

• Created by artist Thawan Duchanee.
• A collection of over 40 black-themed buildings.
• Mixture of traditional Thai architecture + dark modern art.
• Exhibits animal bones, horns, skins, and symbolic sculptures.
• Represents death, darkness, and contrasts with White Temple’s purity. 

5. Lunch Break (Usually included)

• Thai buffet or local restaurant stops in Chiang Rai. 

6. Return Journey

•  Depart Chiang Rai ~16:30.
• Arrive back in Chiang Mai ~19:30–20:00.
